Moving Grays Harbor
In March 2005, a community task force, HealthNOW!, convened to establish a comprehensive physical activity plan. The goal of HealthNOW! is to decrease obesity by increasing physical activity.
Maryann Welch, former director of Grays Harbor County Public Health and Social Services Department, will be writing monthly articles to lay out the facts about obesity and exercise, including free or low-cost ways to be active right here in Grays Harbor County. The articles are published in the Daily World, the South Beach Bulletin, the Vidette and North Coast News. The articles are also published on this webpage.
