Pregnancy Prevention

The goal of Grays Harbor County Public Health Department's pregnancy prevention services is to reduce unintended pregnancy by making contraceptive services available to men and women of reproductive age.  Services include:

  • Reproductive health exams.
  • Pregnancy testing, counseling and referrals.
  • Birth control information, counseling and supplies including emergency contraception.

Exams are available by appointment.  To make an appointment call (360) 532-8631.  The fee is based on your income and Medicaid is accepted.  Grays Harbor County Public Health Department clinic does not bill private insurance.

Take Charge
Take Charge is a program that pays for exams and supplies related to contraception (birth control) for eligible men and women.  Eligibility is based on income.  Enrolled people are able to receive the counseling and physical exams necessary to get birth control methods that require a prescription at no cost.  Take Charge also covers all FDA approved methods of birth control, including those that can be sold over-the-counter and sterilization procedures (vasectomy and tubal ligation) for eligible men and women.
